Girls in Whitehorse looking to learn the nuts and bolts of “the beautiful game” are invited to attend free soccer sessions hosted by Whitehorse United FC this month.

According to the soccer club’s website, the sessions are intended to familiarize new players with the sport and support those already familiar with the game. The goal is to generate excitement about the outdoor house league soccer program.

The free clinics are open to girls in grades two to six (born in 2012 to 2016) of all skill and experience levels. They’ll be held every Tuesday and Thursday from April 2 to 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Canada Games Centre Fieldhouse.

Prospective attendees are welcome to attend as many sessions as they like, and they’re reminded to bring clean indoor running shoes.

Whitehorse FC’s website states that advanced registration is not required to participate in the soccer sessions, but girls must be signed in by an adult when attending their first session.

Parents or youth with questions about the free soccer sessions can get more info by emailing footballclubwhitehorse@gmail.com.
