There were 54 runners in all, with one llama, Tony, participating in the fun run. The organizers would like to send a special thanks to Super A, which sponsored the spaghetti dinner on Saturday night and to the Town of Watson Lake recreation staff Amanda Brown and Alyssa Magun for their hard work. And of course, always, the many folks who volunteered their time and effort to make this first half marathon event a runaway success.
The person whose interest and idea was initially responsible for the Watson Lake Half Marathon was the departing principal of the Johnson Elementary School, Kevin Foley. Thanks, for this legacy - you will be missed. Hopefully you’ll come back to run the race again next June.
