With less than a second left, Jared Steinbach won the game for Alkan with his second of the night. Alidas Jamnicky and Noah Kitchen scored as well, and Sky Levesque was named player of the game.
Craig Berube scored a pair for The Deli, and Kanoa Jones added one. Robert Charbonneau was The Deli’s MVP.
Under-16 (Tuesday)

Medicine Chest 4
Medicine Chest went up 2-0 early with goals from Grant McWatters and Samantha Macklon.
Q&S’s Jonathon Quarton and Callie Brown tied it up before halftime. MVP Rhiannon Jones and Jonathon Quarton gave Q&S the lead before the Chest’s Samantha Macklon and Aaron Holway tied it again.
Jeremy Johnson broke the deadlock, with the winning goal for Q&S. Savanna Marks was named MVP for spirited Medicine Chest goaltending.
Norline 4

Montana Coburn, Courtney Grant, Tanner Coyne and Scott McWhinnie scored for Norline. Replying for Pine were Alex Lindsey, Zach Young and Will Stevely.
Norline’s MVP was Luke Eady while Terry Dyck was named Pine’s top player.

Jessica Borgford, Sean Charbonneau and Cory Birckel scored for Audette while brothers John and Rob Borud replied for Kopper King. MVPs were Jessica Borgford for Audette and Sam Kumar for Kopper King.

Steven Harlow and Jason Jack scored a pair each for New West, and Brad Gustafson added the fifth. Aaron Borgford took MVP honours.
Jack Lanigan, Jeremy Mann and Caley Kelly scored for Whitehorse Motors, and Brent Ens was named top player.

Lots of scoring in this one, with Intersport’s David Stephen netting the hat trick, and Theoren Richards, MVP Kurtis VanBibber and Trevor Hanna scoring two goals each.
ReMax’s Kyle Risby, Henry Kedziora and William Thompson all scored a pair, and Alex Ordonez added one. Steven Worthington took MVP honours.

Always a great game between these two teams. Scorers for Dana were Kurtis Hills, Robyn Fortune and Ella Parker. Shayna Jordan was the top player.
For the Drug Awareness Team the scorers were Mary Bennett, with two, and Mike Bennett, with a single. Jessie Cebuliak was named MVP.

Gibson Person and Ava Kutson scored for Locksmith as they shut out Wal-Mart. Ava Knutson earned the MVP nod.

Volleyball
Perfect weather conditions greeted the city of Whitehorse’s 13th annual Corporate Volleyball Challenge on Wednesday. Games started at 5:30 p.m. at Rotary Peace Park with 17 local businesses and organizations demonstrating both their volleyball skills and tremendous enthusiasm.
