Cyclists handily endured a rain-soaked weekend across the border for the Tour de Juneau.
In a tough men’s expert class, Whitehorse’s Glen Iceton rode a smart and aggressive race on Sunday that moved him from fourth place in the general classification to a podium spot.
Friday, Iceton finished second in the hill climb, and Saturday, he posted a fifth-place finish in the time trial.
Fellow Yukoner Jerome McIntyre also finished off a strong weekend by out-sprinting seven other riders to finish fifth in the road race and move to fifth overall in the general classification.
In the sport men’s class, Bill Curtis capped a successful weekend by finishing second in the road race and capturing the general classification for his division. Curtis took first in Saturday’s time trial and second in the hill climb.
