It is with great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Troy Adams, who was 59 years old. Troy was born in London, England and moved to Canada with his family when he was 7 years old. He arrived in Whitehorse 15 years ago and told Barb "Good luck getting me out of here", as he immediately knew this was their home.
Troy was known for his kindness and huge heart. He had a love for Star Trek and sports such as the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Boston Bruins.
Troy had a strong work ethic that he inherited from his grandfather. Troy took pride in being an entrepreneur of his business Paintmate Decorating Services and always ensured his clients were happy and comfortable in their home.
Troy is pre-deceased by his father Dennis, his mother Gloria, and his grandmother Helen.
He leaves to mourn and celebrate his life his partner Barb, his son Kyle (Rike), and two daughters Kelly-Jean (Miranda) and Brittany. His sister Dawn, his nephews Taylor, Bryce and his niece Amber. His brother Mark (Glennis) and their sons.
He also leaves behind 2 grandsons Brandon and Jordan, and fur baby Bella Adams. His close friends Scotty, Sean, Muffin, Shane and Bria along with a community of those he touched also known as "The Breakfast Club".
A celebration will be held at a later date. For those that would like to honour Troy's memory, the family requests that you consider performing an act of kindness and then raise a glass in his name.
