"Words are few, thoughts are deep, memories of you we will always keep"
It is with deep sorrow and much love that Chief Simon Mervyn and Wife Rosemary of Mayo, Yukon announce the sudden passing of their son Steven Mervyn in Whitehorse, Yukon on January 5, 2021.
Steven was an all-around great guy, devoted Father, Son, Uncle, Cuzzin and Friend. In 2005 Steven graduated from NAIT receiving his Red Seal as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician. He was the proud owner of Mayo Landing Fuel, Supply & Transport, providing vital services to the Northern Area. Steven enjoyed family time out on the Land, especially "Down the Piney Woods".
Highlights to his days were spending time with his precious daughter Alysyn (6) and step-son Branden (15). He was an exceptional father. He also was a fun and entertaining brother to Groovy, to sister Bonnie and to his many cuzzins. We know years from now, they will sit with their children and Steven's children to share the many adventures and escapades they had while growing up.
Steven's infectious laugh, big smile and charm will sure be missed by all in Mayo Town and Whitehorse. He left us much too soon and will be missed by his family, crazy cousins, and many colorful friends across the Yukon.
Steven will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his parents; Simon & Rosemary; daughter; Alysyn Rose Lilianne; step-son, Branden Tronson; brother, Simon Mervyn Jr. (Groovy); Sister, Bonnie Mervyn; nieces, Sommer Rose, Keirra, Ashton; nephew; Kyle, great-niece; Nova, and many aunts, uncles and cuzzins.
At this time the family wish to extend its heartfelt appreciation for all the kind support received from so many! Your thoughtfulness and contributions have not gone unnoticed.
When the roads are safe and when the warmth of the summer sun can be felt...We will welcome friends & family to celebrate a wonderful soul.

It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day god called you home
"Tell all my friends I'm a heavenly bound...
coming for to carry me home"
