August 31, 1960 - April 19, 2021
Stephen John McDonell, of Whitehorse Yukon, passed away on Monday April 19, 2021.
Stephen is survived by his father Jim McDonell, his brother James McDonell & sister-in-law Monique McDonell, his sister Anne Marie McDonell & brother-in-law Allan Dick, his aunt, uncle, niece, nephews, and predeceased by his mother Mary McDonell (2014). He also leaves behind many close and caring friends.
Stephen was born to Mary McDonell and Jim McDonell in Prince George, BC and took his first breath on August 31, 1960.
Growing up he loved fishing for trout and hunting Ptarmigan with his father and brother in Yukon. For a short time he lived in Nanaimo B.C. where he completed high school and then returned to Whitehorse to work.
Though Stephen never married, he lived a joyful life and always looked forward to joining friends for coffee at the 202.
Though he was a man of few words he was always quick with an infectious grin.
We will miss him dearly.
