It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sheila Firth on December 21st, 2020.
Sheila was born and raised in Dawson City, Yukon. The 2nd eldest child of Howard and Nancy Firth.
After her graduation from St. Anne's Academy in Victoria, she moved back to Whitehorse and worked alongside her Father at T.A. Firth & Son Insurance. From there she expanded her wings and developed new skills and worked as an Insurance Adjuster for many years and then held various positions with the Yukon Government.
Sheila had a special passion for gardening and quilting and was willing to share her time with anyone who had similar interests.
Sheila is predeceased by her older sister Catherine Small of Victoria. She is survived by her 3 children: Shane Horsnell (Heather) Colin Horsnell and Shayla McIntyre, 3 granddaughters
Shellane (Bob), Kylie & Piper and 2 great grandsons, Everett & Ethan. She also has a handful of extended family members: Scott (Wendi), Teneil, Rowan, Brock, Joshua, and Mikael. She also leaves behind her 4 siblings, Thomas Firth, Howard Firth (Colleen), Nancy Huston (David), John Firth (Dawn) and will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
She was an amazing Nana to all and will be sadly missed. The family wishes to thank all the special people at Whistle Bend Place who were so patient and caring with her during her short time there.
A private celebration for Sheila will be held at a later date.
