With deep sadness we announce the passing of Richard Farnell (Wudzih Dene) in Whitehorse, Yukon. Richard originally from Cornerbrook, Newfoundland was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He was a Caribou biologist in the Yukon Territory for over 30 years. Richard loved spending time on the land and advocating for the wildlife of the north.
Richard will always be loved and cherished by his wife, Janet McDonald, his daughter Gillian Staveley, and his two grandsons Jackson and Lukiah.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 5th 2018, 1 PM at the Kwanlin Dun Cultural Centre for Richard's Celebration of Life.
Memorial donations can be made in Richard's name to the Future Olympians Fund as he always believed in supporting Canadian amateur athletes.
