It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Norman Herbert Lowes on November 23, 2021.
Norm was born in Carberry, Manitoba, on September 6, 1934. He met the love of his life Annabella Cooper in Alberta and they married in 1960. In 1966, the family made the journey to the Yukon for new adventures. After retirement from Northwestel in 1994, Norm and Ann made their home at South McClintock in the cabin that they built together.
Norm leaves to mourn his loving wife Ann, his sons Wyatt (Melody), Mark (Carla) and daughter Edie (Michael), grandchildren Wyatt Jr. (Lisa), Whitney (Wade), Natalie, Jenelle, Kyle, Makayla, Jackson, Emily, Charles (step), and great-grandchildren Paxton, Scarlett, Meikka, and Theo, along with extended family.
Norm's family and friends will miss him and his one-of-a-kind sense of humour and love for life.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Chau, Dr. Kmet, and his health team at Wind River Hospice House for the incredible care that Norm received.
There will be a private Celebration of Life at a later date.
