April 28, 1940 - August 13, 2020
It is with incredible sadness that we announce the passing of our Mum, Margaret Stenzig, on August 13, 2020 at the young age of 80. Mum passed at Whitehorse General Hospital after an intense and courageous three-month battle with cancer. We send heartfelt gratitude to all the doctors, nurses and support staff in Vancouver and Whitehorse who helped with Mum's care during this time.
Margaret will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her daughter, Amanda Stehelin (Bernard). Son, Mark Stenzig (Marcie), her beloved grandchildren Mason, Brijona, Will, Maximus and Marek and all her amazing community of Northern Friends she called Family. Mum is now at peace and finding joy with her husband Eiko Stenzig and Grandson Eiko Stehelin on her next grand adventure.
Margaret will be remembered by all the lives she touched through her time as a teacher, the meals she provided to people needing support, her time volunteered to her church, her jams and pies and the support, love and pride she openly expressed and gave to her family.
A Celebration of Life for Margaret will be held at The Church of Northern Apostles in Porter Creek on Saturday August 29th 2020 at 11:00 AM. A limited number of people are allowed to attend due to Covid 19 Restrictions. Please contact Amanda to reserve a spot at the church. (867-334-2777) The service may be viewed live at www.facebook.com/northernapostles and will also be available for two weeks after the event at www.anglican.yukon.net
