February 9, 1935 - November 15, 2018
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Leo Goulah on November 15, 2018 at the age of 83. Leo began his next journey peacefully, with his family by his side in Whitehorse, Yukon where he lived for 45 years.

Born in Tweed, Ontario, to Margaret Clement and John Goulah, Leo was the youngest child of a family of thirteen. He enjoyed a very happy childhood; spending most of his time helping on the neighbour's dairy farm milking cows and doing general chores. He also enjoyed riding and caring for their horses. With his trusty .22 rifle he was a fine shot and enjoyed target practice.

Always longing for adventure, he left home as a teenager and headed west. Leo always kept busy and was never short of work throughout his journey. Making numerous friends along the way, Leo eventually found his way to Banff, Alberta where he met the love of his life, Kay Prowse. Married for 41 years, they have two loving daughters, Renae and Nicole.

Leo had a great love for the outdoors. Any chance he had, he would be out fishing, camping, or working in his beautiful yard. You may have seen him with his trademark cowboy boots and hat, which he wore year-round.

Leo is survived by his wife Kay; children Renae (Michael Krevenchuk), Nicole (Robert Williams); as well as his first wife Lois Hyette and their children Dennis, Theressa (Gary Giesbrecht), Edna (Denise McGowan), Michael (Shirley Molenaar), and Raymond; his brother Ted and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and numerous friends.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you play him a country classic and consider making a donation to the charity of your choice.

A celebration of Leo's life will be held December 2nd at the Jarvis Street Saloon from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm.
