Karen-Jean Craft

March 15, 1957 - August 26, 2022
Karen-Jean was born March 15, 1957 in Calgary Alberta. During her life journey she resided in 4 provinces - Alberta, Fredericton NB, Chilliwack BC (her homebase was her mothers home) and finally, Whitehorse Yukon where she lived for 30 years.
Karen-Jean was a courageous and adventurous soul. Some of her happiest times were traveling to exotic places like Thailand, Belize, New Zealand, Old Crow, Mexico & Hawaii to name a few. Everywhere she went she made friends. Karen-Jean had the ability to talk to anyone at any time. She also loved learning French and cherished the friends she met along the way.
Karen-Jean loved rooting for the underdog and was both an advocate and a voice for many. She knew when to be firm and when to be kind. Sometimes she survived the storm, sometimes she WAS the storm. Her memory will be treasured by many and the loss of her contribution to the world will be felt by all.
In her final years, Karen-Jean came into a season of deep happiness and peace. She loved working with her beloved husband and soulmate Peter Craft in the garden they built together. She loved being part of the community of Bethany Church, and most of all she loved Christ Jesus.
Karen worked most of her life in healthcare, at the Whitehorse hospital, Ambulance and finally at the Referred Care Clinic. We know her work family will greatly miss her and Karen's family thanks all for their contribution to mom's journey.
Karen-Jean is survived by best friend and husband, Peter Craft, daughters Andrea Sturgeon (Scott, Apryl), Audra Lake (Aaron, Jack, Jasper and Juniper Jean) and her pets, Pepper and Wanda. She is met in Heaven by her parents Marge and Safet Ceuric, as well as her beloved grandmother Jean Agnew Goss whom she had shared a special bond with.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, September 5, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Bethany Church.
