June Stubbins passed away peacefully in Qualicum Manor, Qualicum Beach, BC, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, Jan 5th, 2018.

June was born June Ruth Pearl Spray near London, England in 1930, she and her family lived in Africa during the second world war.

June joined the Metropolitan London Police Force as a young woman where she met her life-long husband Larry Stubbins.  June and Larry had 3 children before leaving England and had two more Canadian offspring, one born in PEI and one born in Whitehorse, Yukon.

June was involved passionately with the ECHO Players Drama Group in Qualicum and she and Larry started a successful choir the Noteworthy's who were well-known and liked in Qualicum Beach.

June's beloved husband Larry B.L. Stubbins was pre-deceased in Qualicum in August of 2016.

June is survived by her sister Gloria Churchill, of Calgary, AB, brother Bryan Spray of Berkshire, England, son Christopher Stubbins of Whitehorse, Yukon, daughter Lorraine Stubbins (Bill) Princeton BC, son Nigel Stubbins(Kelly) Whitehorse, Yukon, daughter Cheryl Stubbins, Richmond BC, son Terry Stubbins( Linda) Qualicum Beach, BC, granddaughter Tiffany Verbeek (Ryan) Armstrong BC, grandsons Lucas, Michael, and Jacob, and great grandsons Jaxson and Grayson, nieces and nephews Yvonne, Roger, Tara and Adam.

June you will live in our hearts forever.

The Stubbins family would like to extend sincere gratitude to the nursing staff of Qualicum Manor whose loving care made June's life comfortable and enriched during her stay there.

Special thanks go out to the Hayley/Bennett families for their support during June and Larry's senior years.

A celebration of June's life will be held at a later date.
