On Dec 27, 2023, Joan Allan-Darrah formerly from Whitehorse/Faro passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Tullamore, County Offaly, Ireland.
Joan operated the Faro Hotel back in the early 1970's and was also owner-operator of Little Salmon Lodge. She then moved to Whitehorse.
She moved back to Ireland to be closer to her family in 2008.
She is survived by her two stepsons Cameron Allan of Fort Nelson, BC and Roger Allan of Coquitlam, BC.
