April 23, 1949 - January 29, 2024
Jacques passed away unexpectedly on January 29, 2024. Jacques left behind his brother Pierre, his sister Diane, his niece Diane Allen Thibodeau (Martin Viel), and her two sons Alexandre and Antoine.
Jacques had a barber shop in Montreal and kept on cutting hair for many years in the Yukon, in his own barber chair.
Jacques ended up in the Yukon 38 years ago. He spent the majority of that time at Judas Creek, Marsh Lake. His love of outdoor activities like fishing, trapping and hunting lead him to a job with YG campgrounds where he was close to nature and made many friends.
His experience as a cook in Quebec paved the way to a job at Lakeview Resort and Marina.
Jacques will be missed by many friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Marsh Lake Community Centre on February 17 from 1 to 3pm.
