Ingrid Olsen, our dear mother was a free spirit who loved to travel and always brought a smile wherever she went. Ingrid lived life on her own terms until her passing on April 12th 2021.
Ingrid was born in South Africa on May 10th 1953 to loving and hard working parents; Patrick and Rae Olsen. Ingrid and her siblings, Rick, Chris, Karen and Duncan were raised in the Yukon.
Right from her childhood Ingrid had a passion for the arts and excelled in all forms that she set out to explore. Ingrid carried this passion with her for her entire life and gladly shared it with all of us around her.
Ingrid loved to sing, wrote amazing poetry, designed and crafted beaded jewelry, created unique quilts, crocheted scarves & toques and world renowned dish cloths, gardened, sun bathed, sketched and enjoyed a cold beer to wind down her day.
In our moments of sadness, please find solace in the knowledge that Ingrid lives on in all of our hearts. She will always be with us in spirit, to share all of our greatest joys, ease our deepest sorrows and challenge us to create. Ingrid will be missed by all of her friends and extensive family.
