It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Henry Henkel, a loving husband, father, brother and grandpa.
Henry lived in Haines Junction for the past 48 years, together with his wife, Barbara of 65 years. Henry was very community and family oriented and was able to stay at home with his family right up until his passing.
He is survived by his wife Barbara, children; Judy (Jim) Tomlin, Steve (Terri King), Kim (Nick van Vliet), Tracey (Quin) Nilsson, Todd (Elaine Chin), grandchildren; Kristin (Kevin), Briana (Cody), Tanner (Jannie), Jaeden, Savannah, Dana, Talon, Kade (Talia), Keifer, Aisha, Teah, Talyce, Dylan, T.J. (Chelsea), four great-grandchildren, two of his five siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers or donations, the family asks that you choose joy, kindness and gratitude throughout your day as Henry did.
A private family gathering will take place at a future date.
