It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ethel Mary Tizya of Tagish, Yukon at the age of 78 years. Ethel's beautiful spirit chose to leave us on June 28, 2018, in Burnaby, BC, after a long fight with cancer.
Ethel was always willing to go out of her way to help others. She would naturally brighten your day with a hearty laugh and warm greeting. She was a very independent, educated lady with a strong drive to achieve what was important to her. She left this world complete and without regret.
Ethel is survived by 6 of her 11 siblings, 4 sons, 7 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
There is a memorial service for Ethel at the Carcross Learning Center on July 28th, 2018 at 2:00 pm until 5:00. There will also be a small Memorial Service at St. Steven the Martyr Anglican Church in Burnaby on July 21, 2018 at 3:00 pm until 5:00.
We are expecting a large turn out at the memorial so please do not bring or send flowers. We will not have the ability to keep them.
