January 9, 2022
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dinah Silverfox on January 9th, 2022.
Dinah came from a very large family in the Yukon. She will be greatly missed and loved by her daughter Naomi, sister Mona, numerous cousins including Dorothy, Sheri, Debbie, Geraldine and Elizabeth, nieces including Brenda and Krystle, nephew Barry and her aunts and uncles in Pelly.
She will be missed by her many friends mainly Bev, John and Sharon.
Dinah was hard working and extremely kind to those that she met. She worked at Northwestel for 22 years as a telephone operator. Dinah lived all her life in Whitehorse. She loved to travel and she loved being out in nature, walking the numerous trails in Whitehorse.
Dinah will be so greatly missed. Always so nice and so gentle to everyone. She was such a smart, dedicated, protective and loving mother.
The family would like to thank Selkirk First Nation, extended family and friends in the Yukon for all your support during this difficult time.
There will be a headstone memorial at a later date.
