In Memoriam ~

It is with a heavy heart (and tears in my eyes) that I say goodbye to my dear husband Dennis (Joe) who passed away peacefully with his wife, son, step-daughter, and friends by his side.

The love that we had and shared will forever be with me. You will always be with me. Dennis loved his life. He loved to play music, working on his cabin in Atlin, his job at YG and the work that he did for Building Maintenance Department. He retired from YG in May and his wish was to have a retirement party. Despite his constantly changing health conditions, we were able to make this happen for him when he was feeling well enough.

His retirement party meant so much to him. It truly was his "Best Day Ever" party. Dennis lived his life "with no regrets" as he was proud to say before his passing.

He re-joins his parents, Alice & David Beaudoin, and his twin-sister Denise Berken. He leaves behind his wife Theresa, son David Beaudoin, brothers Emil and George, sister Rose Beaudoin (Phil Mackin), brother-in-law Ernie Berken. Also surviving him are step-sons Peter Niven (Stephanie) and Jarred Niven (Chantel), step-daughter Marya Gatien, three granddaughters, and numerous nieces & nephews.

His family would like to send their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kopjar and the oncologist team at Whitehorse General Hospital. The nurses at Wind River Hospice House and the staff at Whistle Bend Place-you made him feel like a king from his first day there and you gave him the will to keep going. Thanks to the staff at Jean C. Barber Lodge in Vancouver (Canadian Cancer Society). Thank you to Dr. Kmet (I will remember you and hold you in my heart with the utmost respect) for everything that you did for us. Thanks to the nursing and therapy team at Homecare for your support in granting Dennis' final wish to return home for his last days.

Finally, to our family and friends, your love and support gave us the strength to get us through these tough times. Dennis and I love you for that support.
