April 12, 1957 - December 4, 2021
It's with deep sorrow we announce the passing of our father Bohuslav (Bob) Zigo. Dad passed away suddenly on December 4th, 2021, at the age of 64.
Bob landed in Canada in 1983, from the Czech Republic, and instantly fell in love with the Yukon land and its' people. Mining and trucking took him from Whitehorse to Texas and everywhere in between for decades, but the Yukon was always his home and it is where he raised his family.
Those that had the pleasure of knowing or working with Bob, could fill your hearts with wonderful stories about how funny & entertaining he was. He was the life the party no matter the event, and always had such an uplifting, wonderful presence. Always a kid at heart, he would light up a room with his dance music (and dancing!), and oh how he loved the mountains! Quading, camping, and cooking with friends & family always brought him to his happy place.
Bob is predeceased by his son & best friend, Bobby Zigo, and his father, Bohuslav Zigo Sr. He is survived by his Mother, Zdenka Divácká; his sister, Hana Karasová (Petr); nephew Petr Kara; niece, Hana Sisrová (and family) in the Czech Republic; and his daughters, Sandra Raymond (Shawn) & Lisa Scherbarth (Jason) in Canada.
He leaves behind 6 beautiful grandchildren (Tenisha, Brandon, McKenzie, Mikaila, Jada and Seth) and countless incredible friends who he very much considered family.
Dad is with our brother now, where he's longed to be for so long! Although we will miss him dearly, we know that he is finally at peace.
A Celebration of Life for Bob will be held in the summer of 2022 in the Yukon.
