Jan 8, 1944 - Mar 8, 2018
It is with tremendous sadness that we announce Beatrice Mae Goodman "Bea" passed peacefully on March 8, 2018 in Whitehorse, Yukon. Bea is survived by her two boys, Curtis and Cary Goodman (Sherry). Her siblings, Martin Pruden (Patrica), Cindy Wills (Nigel) and Glen Pruden in Manitoba. Grandchildren, Megan, Melvin, Kayla, Savannah, Chance, Cruz, Jesse, and Brooke. Great grandchildren, Knox and Scarlett.

She is preceded in death by her parents Curtis and Hazel Pruden, her siblings Lloyd, Bob, and Patrica. As well as her beloved husband, Melvin Goodman.

Bea was born on January 8, 1944 in Selkirk, Manitoba to Curtis and Hazel Pruden. She married Melvin Goodman, a public highways driller and blaster, in 1964 on a warm July day in a beautiful church in Lockport, Manitoba. The following year the newlyweds moved to Hope, British Columbia to be in the mountains. Bea and Melvin welcomed their first child, Curtis, on June 15, 1966 followed by their second son, Cary, on August 21, 1968.

The Goodman family then journeyed to the Yukon in the spring of 1974, where they unknowingly made it their home forever. Bea spent her years in the Yukon with her beloved family and friends, which she cherished immensely. Her children remember her as a kind-hearted, strong, loving mother who taught them to be independent, courteous, and always kind to others. On top of everything, Bea had the most contagious laugh and was loved by many.

Please join us to celebrate Bea's life on Monday, March 26, 2018 1:00 pm at The Little Log Anglican Church, with a reception to follow at the Hellaby Hall in Whitehorse. All are welcome to attend.

The family would like to extend their thanks to Macaulay Lodge Staff for their devoted care.

Sometimes people are beautiful. Not in looks.

Not in what they say. Just in what they are.
