Austin Osborne

September 16, 1978 - October 6, 2019
Sunday, October 6, 2019, Austin Osborne, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 41. Austin was born on September 16, 1978 in Vancouver, BC., but was raised in Whitehorse, Yukon by his parents Ray and Wendie Osborne, alongside his two sisters Rene Hogan and Rebecca Osborne. For a short time, Austin lived in Edmonton, AB where he met the love of his life, Danette. On June 7, 2003, Austin and Danette were married in Edmonton, surrounded by friends and family. On May 3, 2011, Austin and Danette were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Nylah.
Austin had a passion for the outdoors and especially loved fishing and sledding. You could often find him out on his boat with family and friends or off to the summit with his buddies. He also loved watching hockey and socializing. Austin loved to laugh and joke and had the ability to make friends with anyone he met. Some of his most cherished activities were spending time with his wife and daughter, and BBQ's with friends and family.
Austin was survived by his wife Danette, daughter Nylah, his parents Ray and Wendie, his sisters Rene and Rebecca, his grandfather Ray Osborne Sr., several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of life for Austin will be held on Monday, October 21, 2019 at 2 pm at the Kwanlin Dun Cultural Centre, 1171 Front St., Whitehorse, Yukon. All are welcome.
