On Monday, Whitehorse RCMP arrested the person believed responsible for a slew of recent break-ins.
Whitehorse resident Calvin Pavey, 33, was arrested and charged after five local businesses experienced break-ins and thefts over the last few days.
Pavey is charged with five separate counts of break, enter and theft and one count of possession of an instrument suitable for the purpose of breaking into a place.
The RCMP is continuing to investigate.
It urges businesses to take the necessary precautions and protect themselves, especially during the Christmas season. (GK)
