This old photograph was taken probably in the late ‘40s or early ‘50s, at the comer of Second Avenue and Wood Street in Whitehorse.

It appears the staff and crew of the Yukon Telephone Company is posing in front of their Quonset warehouse.

In the distance you can see the 98 Hotel.

Originally the 98 Hotel dates back to around 1951. Before that, the building was a dance hall and later a roller skating rink.
