All Yukon schools are safe and open, the Yukon government announced May 5.
After two earthquakes hit southern Yukon May 1, the government ordered all schools be inspected for damage.
Two schools, Ross River School and Elijah Smith Elementary in Whitehorse, were closed as a precaution until they could be inspected by a structural engineer.
Elijah Smith reopened May 2. Ross River School was inspected by an engineer and deemed safe May 4.
Whitehorse Elementary School and Tantalus School in Carmacks were also assesed as a precaution and are safe for classes.
