Dawson City’s Dick North has more information about the Lost Patrol story.

He has submitted a photo on the bottom left with the following information:

“Staff Sgt. Fitzgerald spent Christmas of 1905 at this McQuesten post on the Second Police Patrol between Dawson City and Fort McPherson. Ironically, Const. Dempster was stationed here and broke trail for the patrol the next day.”

This is a Yukon archives photo. The photo on the top left is of the Lost McPherson Patrol from the Jim Robb Collection.

Dick adds that Dodo Whitlock and Margaret Lennie, granddaughters of Carter and Fitzgerald respectively, are still alive.

Thank you very much to my friend Dick North, who is an outstanding researcher and writer, for the photo and telling us this unique and important information.
