This photograph shows the mail stage coming into Mayo after a 250-mile trip.
These ‘Cats’ can travel 40 to 50 miles a day and travel at the rate of five to seven miles per hour.
The driver of the above stage is Sam Woods.
George Andison was the agent for the mail stage at Mayo. This information is by the late Jack Andison of Mayo and Whitehorse.
This photograph was taken many years ago, but I don’t know precisely when.
