Yukon’s legislature will reconvene for the spring sitting on March 19, Premier Dennis Fentie announced today.
The sitting will likely be dominated by debate over the soon-to-be-tabled budget for 2009-10, which Fentie vows will be the largest “in the history of the Yukon”.
“Yukoners can look forward to record levels of investment in green energy, highways and bridges, water and sewer systems and other public structures that will keep our economy strong,” Fentie said in a release.
“Investments in housing for families and seniors, health care and education will contribute to a better quality of life for Yukoners.”
The public is invited to attend the opening of the sitting at 1 p.m.
