Paramjit Sidhu, the owner of Tags Food and Gas, wants an apology.

Earlier this summer, Sidhu and his son Preet, who manages the store, were accused by two Filipino workers of clawing back wages.

When the story, first reported by CBC, broke, the Yukon government began an investigation.

The labour board released its findings this week.

It found that one employee was in fact underpaid $108.58 but the other was overpaid $31.88.

It was simply an honest mistake, said Sidhu, who pointed out that both employees were given a week’s wages as a Christmas bonus.

He is now calling on Education Minister Scott Kent, who oversees the Yukon Nominee Program, to help him get his accusers to apologize.
