An inebriated man who was arrested early Wednesday is facing charges of assault and failure to comply with his probation.

An inebriated man who was arrested early Wednesday is facing charges of assault and failure to comply with his probation.

Whitehorse RCMP received a call shortly after 4 a.m. reporting a disturbance and possible assault at a home in the Takhini River subdivision area.

Police arrived at the residence to discover a 33-year-old man under the influence of alcohol.

RCMP discovered that the man had assaulted a woman in the residence and was also failing to comply with the conditions of his probation.

The man was taken into custody and is due to appear in court on Wednesday. (CO)
