UPDATE: stolen City of Whitehorse work truck found abandoned “outside the city”

A City of Whitehorse service truck stolen from a lot in the Marwell area has been found.

Yukon RCMP spokesperson Coralee Reid confirmed May 15 that the truck, believed to have been stolen at around 3 a.m. on May 13, was found abandoned “outside the city” either in the late morning or early afternoon of May 14.

The vehicle has since been returned to city staff, Reid said.

It wasn’t immediately clear who took the truck or what condition it was in when it was recovered.
