Whitehorse RCMP have arrested a man in relation to last week’s break-in and sexual assault in the Ibex Valley area.

Whitehorse RCMP have arrested a man in relation to last week’s break-in and sexual assault in the Ibex Valley area.

On Saturday, RCMP executed a search warrant on a residence in the Ibex Valley, and subsequently arrested an adult male.

October 30, police were called to a break and enter and sexual assault in the Ibex Valley.

A masked man sexually assaulted a 51-year-old woman before fleeing the scene.

The woman was taken to Whitehorse General Hospital for treatment and released.

Douglas Norman Hockley has been charged with one count each of break and enter with intent, uttering threats, disguise with intent and sexual assault causing bodily harm.

The 23-year-old remains in custody. (CO)
