I am writing in followup to the article on Prana for Pooches published on December 24.

The article didn’t mention the Reiki training for animals I will be providing on January 22 and 23.

This is the first time anyone in the Yukon has offered this training.

The Reiki training will enable pet owners to improve and maintain their animal’s health as well as connect to them more deeply. I also offer 30-minute individual Reiki sessions for animals.

This is usually enough time for animals as they take in the energy more rapidly than humans.

Reiki can often improve an animal’s health and/or behaviour within a few sessions. However, Reiki cannot compensate for lack of a proper hierarchy or leadership in a household.

After meeting Dexter, I wrote a short article entitled Dog Owner’s Manual, which appears on my website, www.aichele.ca.

The article explains how dogs may become neurotic and engage in undesirable behaviours, such as destroying couches or attacking people when they lack a good human pack leader.

Reiki can help provide balance to animals, but unless the cause of the imbalance is fixed, it is a bit like putting air in a tire with a hole and saying that the compressor didn’t work.

I also encourage the use of the Biomat for animals.

The mini version of the Biomat features tourmaline and amethyst crystals, which provide a more grounding and soothing energy for animals.

The mini Biomat can also be used by humans, for example, while driving or sitting in a chair.
