I am embarrassed to be a Canadian right now.
Here we have a prime minister who is autocratic, a well-documented control freak, an egomaniac, shows disdain for democracy and democratic institutions, tells outright falsehoods, has demonstrated blatant contempt for the people he leads, takes credit where it is not due, is a fearmonger and is insatiably power-hungry É sound familiar?
Perhaps we can learn something from the Egyptians and their neighbours. People are dying in other countries to get rid of leaders exactly like that.
Give me integrity over manipulation, authenticity over image projection, honesty over spin, intelligence over cunning, compassion over attack ads. Give me leaders I can respect and be inspired by to become a better person myself.
