Unfortunately, I am left having to assume you wrote an important letter about a matter of concern to many Whitehorse residents.

Reaching paragraph four, I chose to stop reading as you made reference to a question about the preservation of local creeks as being “trite.” I cannot be certain but I do suspect you are referring to McIntyre Creek.

Should it be your intention to have as many citizens as possible actually read your submission, may I suggest for future letters to the editor you attempt to not alienate/offend large numbers of them through the passing of such judgments.

Although you obviously feel differently, for many, many of “us,” debates about the preservation of our beautiful, natural spaces are quite the opposite of “trite.” The connection many of “us” feel to the land and all of its critters and growth is spiritual, immeasurable and very real.
