Documentary unearths election fraud

Documentary filmmaker Peter Smoczynski visits Victoria Jan. 28 to preview his new film Election Day in Canada

Preview a film and take part in a forum on electoral fraud in Canada.

Peter Smoczynski, award-winning journalist, CBC producer and documentary filmmaker, will be in Victoria to preview his new film Election Day in Canada: When Voter Suppression Comes Calling.

Election Day in Canada examines events surrounding the 2011 Federal Election and what Smoczynski believes to be the worst electoral fraud in Canadian history.

Smoczynski will show selected clips from his work-in-progress for audience discussion. Speakers include Anke Kessler, economics professor at Simon Fraser University, Michael Vonn, B.C. Civil Liberties Association, former journalist and PR consultant Andrew McLeod, and federal Green Party leader Elizabeth May will join via Twitter.

The discussion takes place Jan. 28.
