Trail Conditions
Great skiing weather continues!
Copper to Best Chance, Lower Valley, Dog and Sundog was groomed Wednesday night. Upper Valley, Selwyn’s Loop, Whiskey Jack, Powerline, World Cup 5K, Monique Waterreus and the Stadium were groomed Wednesday morning and are excellent for classic or skating.
Mordor and the Haul Road, Coyote, Lynx, World Cup 10K and 7.5K, Olympic and the lit trails were groomed Tuesday morning. Excellent for classic and skating.
The Sarah Steele Trails were groomed and the outer loop track-set Monday night.
The McIntyre Ascent and Descent were groomed last week. When skiing the Ascent, take extra clothing, food and fluids for the long outing. The Descent is in good condition but use caution since it is a shared trail.
The trail lights are on from dusk to 9:30 p.m. on weeknights.
Safety reminders:
Carry a cell phone and let somebody know where you are skiing.
Be prepared – carry matches, safety blanket, and hand warmers.
Take a map and know where you are – be familiar with the emergency supply caches that are located on the trails.
Wax Suggestions: Super Blue. If temperatures rise as forecast, use Rode multigrade violet. Check the wax of the day board for current suggestion.
Events and Program Information
The Air North Challenge 2012 is underway. Ski all the trails during February and be eligible for a flight on Air North or a season pass for the ski club.
Coast Mountain Sports Wax & Wine is Wednesday Feb. 29 at 7 p.m. at Mt. Mac. En francais!
Subway Ski S’Cool during February. Welcome Kindergarten, Grade 1 and 2 students.

The Ski Base: Mon to Fri 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sat/Sun 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
