Under the bright March sun, Yukoners rung in the still-snowy spring with a Nordic Festival showcasing a variety of snow sports held at the Whitehorse Nordic Centre.
The March 9 event saw a relay race on skis, fat tire bikes, kick sleds and more as well as a downhill soap-box derby.
The three-team lineup in the derby saw each go home with a prize. Team Jet Power was the fastest down the hill, Team Barrel of Monkeys won the show and shine award and the Eh Team's sled was judged the most solid.
