The show was held on Dec. 19 in Whitehorse

Arctic Edge Skating Club put on its first ever holiday showcase at the Canada Games Centre in Whitehorse on Dec. 19 showing off the progress the club's skaters of all experience levels and ages have made. The show was titled Skating Under the Northern Lights.

Around 40 skaters including from the club's Special Olympics, Rising Star, and StarSkate levels took part in the hour-long program which included performances set to popular Christmas carols.

Dozens of spectators packed the bleachers at the games centre with admission by donation of a non-perishable food item for the Whitehorse Food Bank.

In an email to the News the club expressed gratitude for the support of Lotteries Yukon who helped make the event possible.
