Teams playing in the Fillipino Canadian Basketball League of Yukon gathered for an opening ceremony ahead of the tip-off of its 2025 league's first game on Saturday, Feb. 8.
Players and spectators heard speeches on the rewards the game of basketball have to offer including words from Premier Ranj Pillai and MLA for Porter Creek Centre Yvonne Clarke who each sponsor a team in the league prior to the opening tip-off of the first game of the season at the F.H. Collins gym.
