November 23, 1968 - June 26, 2024
Tammi was born November 23rd 1968 in Fort Nelson, B.C. completing the Archibald family, consisting of her parents Mike and Vicki and older sister Leanne.
Tammi left us peacefully June 26th 2024, held in the arms of her husband and love of her life, Rod Rombough.
Tammi loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was very adventurous and always open to trying new things. She excelled at anything she put her mind to and truly believed there was nothing she could not do. Several of her former employers have remained some of her very closest friends.
Tammi and Rod found each other later in life and their journey was filled with love and adventure. They did everything together and were seldom apart. Her sister noted it was the first time in her life she had seen Tammi comfortable being herself. Rod and Tammi spent the last several years living in their beautiful Yukon home where Tammi hosted and entertained all who dropped in. They walked in the mountains nearly every day where she took beautiful photos, which became hand made cards to share with those she loved. Tammi loved animals and adored her little Tia dog, they were inseparable for the past 12 years.
Tammi always saw the good in people and was consistently trying to help those who were struggling. She had a special affinity for seniors and could be found volunteering and advocating for them wherever she lived. She had true friends, from every stage of her life, that remained so over the years and miles.
Tammi had been quietly battling cancer for some time. She faced the challenge with grace and dignity, and most importantly, on her own terms. Her unwavering faith brought her peace and acceptance, knowing her time was her time and that she was destined to leave this world to be with Jesus. She is free of pain and suffering, for that we are grateful.
Tammi leaves behind her husband and soul mate Rod Rombough and his family. Her sister and brother in law Leanne and Perry Nordh. (Nephews Jesse/Emily and Jordan/Kaitlyn). Many, many close extended family and friends.
We will miss her big beautiful eyes, a smile that lit up the room, her love and concern for others, her hospitality, generosity, and her zest for life. She loved to make people smile and laugh. An Angel has joined heaven, fly free pretty lady, we will meet again.
Rod, Leanne, Perry and families want to thank all who have sent their love and condolences or traveled to support Tammi and all of us during her final days. Your words and actions have been a great source of comfort and encouragement during this difficult time.
As per Tammi's wishes, her remains will be cremated and interned on their Yukon property in a private service for family and friends at a future date.
To honour Tammi, our family is going to put together a book celebrating her, helping keep memories alive for years to come. Please send any photos or stories you'd like to share to Nordh@shaw.ca
