October 2, 1937 - February 27, 2025

In loving memory ~

With heavy hearts, great sadness and overwhelming love, we announce the peaceful passing of Stanley Marvin Naylor, age 87, on February 27, 2025.

The family would like to extend its gratitude to the nurses at Whitehorse General Hospital for their consistent patience, compassion, and outstanding care. A special thank you to his loving daughter, Cynthia, and son-in-law, David Cardenas, from Arizona. Cynthia made two heartfelt trips to support the family during Stan's final days, and although David was unable to join her in time, his love and intention to be here brought great comfort.

Born in Bowmanville, Ontario, on October 2, 1937, Stan lived a full life rich in laughter, love, and family. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Stan's greatest pride was always his family. He shared over 60 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Carol Louise Naylor, a love that stood the test of time and was a true example of partnership and commitment.

After raising his young family working for General Motors in Oshawa, Ontario Stan followed his heart and sense of adventure to the Yukon, where he and Carol made a new life together. He later became a familiar face to many in Whitehorse during his decade as a greeter at Walmart, where his warm smile and easy humour brightened the days of countless shoppers.

Before moving to Whitehorse Stan and Carol cherished their years living on beautiful Marsh Lake, surrounded by nature and the quiet comfort of northern life. For the past ten years, they have found joy and connection in a multigenerational home with their son, Tim, daughter-in-law, Cindy-Anne, and granddaughters, Mackenzie and Brittany, where they shared stories, meals, music, laughter and life.

Stan was a man of integrity and honesty. He was head of the family, the family crokinole champion, a master joke-teller, and always the first to start a sing-along. His presence brought joy, his stories brought laughter, and his steady, kind heart brought warmth to everyone who knew him.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Carol; sons, Scott and Timothy; and daughter-in-law, Cindy-Anne; daughter, Cynthia and son-in-law David; and grandchildren, Mackenzie, Brittany, Carol, Camille, Dave, Raúl, Josué, Isaac, Vanesa, Ryan, Renee, Rochelle, Janelle and seven great-grandchildren who carry his legacy forward. He is also fondly remembered by the rest of his extended family and friends near and far.

Stan will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune to know him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by love and happy memories.
