Russell Norman Fry of Whitehorse, Yukon, left us suddenly surrounded by his close family on July 2, 2021.
Russ is predeceased by his mother, Lorraine; sister Colleen; and beloved in-laws Ann and Vern Steinke. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Laura; children Lisa and Clark (Katherine); and numerous grandchildren, great-nephews, and nieces.
Russ came to the Yukon in the summer of 1972 to work, briefly leaving the following year, where he met and married Laura in Hythe, Alberta. They returned to the Yukon to work and raise their family.
Russ loved Yukon life, particularly the summer months at Marsh Lake, boating and water skiing with his family and friends.
The family thanks Dr. Koltun, Dr. Tadepalli, and the nursing staff at Whitehorse General Hospital for their kind and compassionate care.
At Russ' request, there will not be a service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Russell's name to the Yukon Hospital Foundation.
