Patricia Dionne

May 24, 2018

May 29, 1933 - May 24, 2018
In Loving Memory of Patricia Dionne. It is with sadness we announce the sudden passing of our family's matriarch, Patricia. She was a wife, mother, grandmother ("Nana") and friend, a constant source of love and encouragement to our whole family and all those that knew her.

Mom, Dad and the three of us young (and very well-behaved, I'm certain) children moved from Cranbrook, BC to Watson Lake, Yukon in the mid-1970s. Many years were spent at the house on the lake, we were fortunate enough to have Mom at home with us full-time to care for the family and support our scholastic efforts. We had the benefit of both her teaching background and boundless patience to help guide us, both with school and life.

In more recent years, Mom and Dad divided their time between the Yukon and BC. Kamloops was always a destination looked forward to, but the real joy was time spent with her grandchildren in both Fort St. John and Langley. Nana took delight in sharing everyday occurrences with her grandchildren; from daily school stories, to successfully tying shoes for the first time, to bed time prayers - she relished every moment with family. The void she leaves will be most noticed in the small, every day things that she quietly did for us all.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 50 years, Leo; her daughters, Bernadette (Kevin) and Fiona (Gordon), and her son Peter (Tammy) as well as her five beloved grandchildren.

A memorial mass will be celebrated in Kamloops, BC on Saturday, June 16 at the Sacred Heart Cathedral. Private interment will be at a later date.

God Bless you Mom - we miss you so very much.
