May 25, 1934 - August 28, 2018
Mrs. Pansy Allen passed away peacefully with her husband, Les, by her side on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Whitehorse, Yukon.

Pansy was born in a wall tent on May 25, 1934 on the river at Johnson's Crossing, the daughter of Jake & Mary Jackson of Brooks Brook, Yukon. She was united in marriage on a cold, blustery day to Les Allen on January 3, 1955 at St. Philips' Anglican church in Teslin.

Pansy was proud to be a homemaker and artist. She raised five children while continuing her passion for sewing and traditional crafts. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. The teapot was always on at Pansy's house, whether out at Johnson's Crossing, or in her later years at Closeleigh Manor. Fall time had to be her favourite time of year, as she spent countless hours berry picking, and putting up jams and jellies to share with her friends. She was also a bit of a curling fan and enjoyed a good game on the telly with her husband by her side.

She is survived by Les, her husband of 63 years, her children William (Shawn), Mary (Bill), Minnie (Jim), Patricia (Dan) & Gina (Ken); 9 loving grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews across Canada, and Great Britain.

At Pansy's request, there will be no service.

Do not weep for me for I have not gone.

I am the wind that shakes the mighty Oak.

I am the gentle rain that falls upon your face.

I am the spring flower that pushes through the dark earth.

I am the chuckling laughter of the mountain stream.

Do not weep for me for I have not gone.

I am the memory that dwells in the heart of those that knew me.

I am the shadow that dances on the edge of your vision.

I am the wild goose that flies south at Autumns call and I shall

return at Summer rising.

I am the stag on the wild hills way.

I am just around the corner.

Therefore, the wise weep not,

But rejoice at the transformation of my Being.
