Pamela Lynette Owen (née Coote, Cowie) passed away in Vancouver on November 14th, 2021. Pamela is predeceased by her husband Bill Owen, mother Irene Sokolich, father Tom Coote, and stepfather Tom Sokolich.
Pamela will always be lovingly remembered by her two daughters Tanya Cowie (Tim Chizik) and Cindi Cowie (Dave Weir) and her grandsons Mack Chizik, Dawson Weir, Callum Weir and Mitchell Chizik and many family members and friends.
She was a wonderful mom, gran, wife, aunt, sister-in-law, step-mother, and friend to all. Pam was known for her fun-loving and caring personality, and made everyone around her feel cherished.
She was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and immigrated to Canada with her parents at the age of 13. Pamela enjoyed many travels and worked in the hospitality industry starting as a flight attendant with Air Canada. She also worked on Princess cruises, and her final job was as a concierge with the Coast Plaza. In her retirement, she enjoyed adventures and social engagements with Bill, and we hope they are now enjoying a round of golf and a cold shandy in Heaven.
Many thanks to the exceptional caregivers that worked with mom at Parkview and Fairhaven-Vancouver. She was treated with such dignity and respect.
