Myles Elmore Carey passed away peacefully in Whitehorse, Yukon surrounded by loved ones on November 25, 2017.

Myles was born on November 23, 1928 on the farm in Willowbrook, Saskatchewan to Elmore and Ester

(Erickson) Carey. Myles left the farm and worked on the Trans Canada Pipeline from B.C. to Ontario. He met his wife, Diana in Galt, Ontario. They married in December 14, 1957. They moved back to Saskatchewan then Edmonton and finally the Yukon in 1965. Myles worked for the City of Whitehorse for a number of years.

When he retired he purchased a trapline which is still home to this day. Myles doused for water in various places throughout the Yukon.

He leaves behind his wife Diana, of 59 years, his sons Darrell (Michele), Randy (Lori), Wendel, daughter Cindy, 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Steve was like a son to him and Cheryl was like a daughter.

Myles was predeceased by his son Bart, his parents, Elmore and Ester, brother, Lorne and sisters Leola and Joyce.

Thanks to unit D at Copper Ridge and unit 3 at the Thomson Centre.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date and will be announced to all.

Myles will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
