Marion Isabella Wakefield passed away peacefully in her home in Haines Junction, Yukon on June 6, just 7 weeks shy of her 100th birthday. Marion was an integral part of the Seniors Community in Haines Junction and her smile, energy & fashion flair will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
She was born in Morden, MB and spent many years in Thompson, MB raising her family with her husband, John (d. 1991).
Marion moved permanently to Haines Junction in 2000 and throughly enjoyed her time there with her daughter, Valerie, son-in-law, Dan, grandsons Ryan (Danielle) and Lee (Tiffany) & great grandchildren, Alia, Sophie & Dawson & Layla & Max.
We will miss her & her seemingly endless baking so very much.
RIP Mom.
At Marion's request there will be no celebration of life. Her ashes will join John's in a private celebration with her family this summer.
She also leaves behind her daughter Carol (Bill) & family (Meghan, Brandon, Dillon & Claire) in Leesburg, FL and her daughter-in-law, Lauren, (widow of Al) in Lake Havasu City, AZ & Al's children, Edward, Monica & Crista Wakefield and her sister Dorothy Kasprick and family of Courtenay B.C.
